LOS ANGELES and AMSTERDAM (September 8, 2016) – SHOTOVER, maker of high performance stabilization platforms, announced today it has awarded a platinum service rating to authorized service provider (ASP) HD-Skycam.  HD-Skycam is the first ASP to receive the new rating, which indicates the onsite presence of a SHOTOVER team member as well as more advanced training for the HD-Skycam technical staff.  SHOTOVER’s Azriel Mohammed will now be based out of HD-Skycam headquarters in Wörrstadt, Germany in the position of European Service & Support Manager.

Azriel will provide SHOTOVER’s European clients with dedicated support and same-time zone service for the company’s full line of gyro-stabilized camera platforms including the SHOTOVER K1, F1, F1 Live, G1 and U1 drone.  In addition to onsite service at HD-Skycam, Azriel will be available to assist broadcasters and motion picture productions at their locations or in the field, ensuring rapid, factory-level support across Europe. Previously based at SHOTOVER’s New Zealand factory, Azriel has broad experience servicing advanced hardware, software and communications technologies in a diverse range of industries.

“SHOTOVER is fast becoming the preferred stabilization platform for Europe’s top motion picture and broadcast productions with particularly strong demand for our recently introduced U1 drone and broadcaster-optimized F1 LIVE,” said SHOTOVER CEO Brad Hurndell.  “By embedding Azriel at HD-Skycam headquarters we gain an on the ground company presence to bolster the phenomenal HD-Skycam team, ensuring prompt and factory-quality service for our European clients.”

Introduced this April, the SHOTOVER F1 LIVE is a variant of the popular SHOTOVER F1 that was developed to meet the specific needs of the broadcast and ENG markets.  The F1 LIVE supports all major broadcast cameras, including both 4K and 2K models and comes fully configured and set up from the factory with the customer’s camera and lens system of choice.

Offering an optional geo-referenced overlay to help broadcasters quickly identify ground locations and addresses during fast moving assignments, the F1 Live also comes equipped with the SHOTOVER Rain Spinner, the industry’s top tool for keeping the lens clear when shooting in wet conditions.

The SHOTOVER U1 is the world’s first professional grade unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) for the broadcast, motion picture, law enforcement and industrial survey markets.  Exceeding existing standards for drone cinematography, the U1 is the first UAV to accommodate cinema quality cameras and lenses including the 6K RED Weapon, ARRI Alexa Mini, Phantom Flex4K and Sony F55 cameras and the Canon 17-120mm, Fujinon 85-300 and Optimo 28-76 lenses.

Recent SHOTOVER credits include Hollywood blockbusters Jurassic World, Suicide Squad and Guardians of the Galaxy; SHOTOVER has also been tapped by the BBC for filming telephoto 4K footage of wolves, bears and caribou in Canada’s remote Northwest Territories for a six-part wildlife documentary series scheduled to air in 2016.

“The HD-Skycam team are among the best in the business for stabilized cinematography as well as expert in the SHOTOVER line of products,” said Mohammed.  “I am pleased to establish a permanent SHOTOVER presence at the company’s Wörrstadt headquarters and look forward to working with our customers to ensure they are getting the most out of their systems.”
