Born from an obsession with flying, filmmaking and broadcasting, SHOTOVER was developed by the most respected engineers, pilots, and cinematographers in the industry. Their single-minded goal was to integrate the ultimate stability, versatility and ease of use.
Regularly utilized on blockbuster motion pictures as well as for documentaries, high-profile sporting events, broadcast television and advertising, SHOTOVER systems can be mounted on helicopters, ground vehicles, watercraft and almost anything that moves. The K1 and F1’s industry-leading 6-axis gyro stabilization provides unparalleled steadiness as well as a direct look-down capability. The U1 sets a new standard for drone cinematography and imaging as the first solution to accommodate cinema quality cameras and lenses including the 6K RED Weapon, ARRI Alexa Mini, Phantom Flex4K and Sony F55 cameras and the Canon 17-120mm, Fujinon 85-300 and Optimo 28-76 lenses.
SHOTOVER has gained rapid adoption in the filmmaking and broadcast production communities thanks to a number of pioneering industry firsts. These include a fully modular system design, which allows operators to easily utilize multiple camera and lens combinations in the course of a shoot. Additionally, SHOTOVER systems are the first and only motion picture grade aerial option with no ITAR restrictions, enabling them to be shipped around the world without requiring U.S. State Department approval.

Brad serves as SHOTOVER’s CEO, guiding the firm’s business and technology development strategy. He has played a key role at the company since its 2009 launch with experience in all aspects of R&D, business development and manufacturing. Brad is an accomplished aircraft engineer, previously serving as an aircraft technician for the Royal New Zealand Air Force. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering with honors from the University of Canterbury.
Worldwide Service & Support Manager
Charlie leads SHOTOVER customer service throughout the world, working closely with our customers and authorized service providers to ensure we deliver the ultimate customer experience. Charlie has a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Swansea Metropolitan University where he studied Automotive Engineering and specialized in Motorsport Engineering & Design. He has over eight years of experience working in service and support for Jaguar Land Rover in the UK, including leading their Service team based at the Williams F1 factory.
VP Global Sales
Gordon is pleased to join SHOTOVER after they were his client and he established a product development connection with Canon, who he worked with for over 19 years in New Zealand as National Manager of Professional Imaging. His relationships ranged from Media & Television to Film and Government, all of which can only endure longevity through trust and support. Being a self-confessed minimalist, Gordon knows everything about buying what you need and nothing you don’t, which makes solution selling his perfect fit.
Allison leads marketing, social media and trade show activities for SHOTOVER globally. She previously worked at the PR firms SSA Public Relations and Carl Samrock Public Relations. Allison holds a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from California Lutheran University.
Chief Pilot and Lead Assembly Technician
Mike is an experienced engineer and pilot who served for six years as an aircraft engineer in the Royal New Zealand Airforce. He has also held commercial engineering positions with Air New Zealand, Thomas Cook Airlines and the UK military among others. Mike’s aviation background encompasses professional work flying heavy lift multirotor UAVs on shoots ranging from TV commercials to Red Bull sporting events
North American Service & Support Manager
Nick oversees operations at SHOTOVER’s U.S. Service Center in Los Angeles where the company provides maintenance, repair and training services. With over 19 years of experience ranging from Jib Operator and ENG Photographer for WNAC, WFXT, and WNYW, to Aerial Field Technician and Aerial Operator for Pictorvision with Cineflex, Wescam, and Eclipse camera systems, Nick has worked on multiple high profile films, television shows and commercials. Some of Nick's credits include Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Spectre, True Detective, Furious 7, The Walk, Ted 2, Dr. Strange, Sense 8, and many more.
European Service & Support Manager
Azriel provides service and support for the SHOTOVER line of products at the company’s New Zealand manufacturing facility. He has broad experience servicing advanced hardware, software and communications technologies in a diverse range of industries. Azriel previously held technical positions at Peacock Brothers, Siemens and Cabling Products and Design Ltd.
Victor has an extensive background in sales, marketing, and public speaking and has over two decades of experience in a broad range of markets from international business to the industrial rotating machinery industry. Having a passion for aviation, camera movement, and innovation, Victor has pushed the boundaries of camera stabilization for commercial, educational and feature film work. He is an advisor, educator and advocate for the flourishing commercial drone and camera stabilization sector; providing solutions to WALT DISNEY STUDIOS, IMAX CORP., MARVEL STUDIOS and RED STUDIOS.
Philip has worked with SHOTOVER as a reseller since 2013, and in 2017 began working for the company directly as a Sales Manager within Europe. Before SHOTOVER, Philip worked as the Sales and Business Development Manager for global media brands like Bertelsmann, XTreme Video, and NBC Universal as well as building and implementing the Monster Energy brand in Germany. Philip holds a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing.
Supply Chain Manager
Angus is a logistics and supply chain expert who manages sourcing, procurement and supplier relationships for SHOTOVER. He previously served as operations manager at Real Journeys, one of New Zealand’s most established tourism companies and has lived and worked in New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Vietnam and the UK. Angus holds a B.S. and M.S. with distinction from the University of Otago and is the recipient of the Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award.
Tara is responsible for tracking and reporting of all company’s financial activities and works at the New Zealand headquarters. She has over 15 years of experience, working as the New Zealand Finance Manager for several multinational companies - notably the MSN NZ, and Brightpoint NZ. Tara is a CPA and holds a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree with a major in Accountancy from Massey University.
