LOS ANGELES (January 27, 2015) – SHOTOVER, the maker of high performance stabilization
platforms for the motion picture and broadcast industries, announced today the sales of its
groundbreaking SHOTOVER F1 to European production companies MovieBird (Norway),
Orange Aerial (Norway), Red Rental (Denmark), ACS France (France) and Heli-One (Hungary).
All five companies provide aerial cinematography services to the motion picture, broadcast and
commercial markets. SHOTOVER’s European reseller Hildemann + Partners played a lead role
in the sales, which augment the company’s rapidly growing footprint in the European market.
Designed for high-performance aerial cinematography, the SHOTOVER F1’s 6-axis gyro
stabilization and modular design provides industry-leading versatility and performance in a
package light enough to be transported by a single person as checked baggage. The system
accommodates cameras such as the Red Epic and Dragon, Arri Alexa M, Phantom Flex4K,
Canon C500 and Sony F55 along with a broad range of popular lenses. These include the new
Angenieux 25-250 and the IBE adapter and Fujinon 42x9.7 lens. New customer Red Rental
has already utilized its F1 – paired with a Red Dragon and Arri Fujinon Alura 18-80mm lens – in
shooting aerials for Wallander, the hit television drama from the BBC.
“The F1 represents a seismic shift for aerial shooters, providing unshakeable stabilization and
phenomenal image quality even at full zoom on a 6K camera,” said Joe Hildemann, principal at
Hildemann + Partners. “The system has increasingly become the go-to option for Europe’s top
aerial cinematographers and production companies, offering unparalleled performance in an
extremely compact and versatile form factor. We are pleased to announce the sales and look
forward to growing interest in 2015.”
Relied upon by production companies and aerial cinematographers across five continents,
SHOTOVER systems are backed by world-class, 24/7 service and support with a hotline that
allows customers to access technical assistance any time of the day or night. The F1’s modular
design makes it fully upgradeable, allowing operators to utilize new professional cameras,
lenses and accessories as they come to market. In addition to aircraft, the F1 can easily be
mounted on ground vehicles and watercraft, delivering unparalleled images during high speed
shooting.
“We have had a tremendous response to the F1 over the past year and are pleased to continue
this momentum into 2015 with the sales to MovieBird, Red Rental, ACS France, Orange Aerial
and Heli-One,” said SHOTOVER president Alan Purwin. “These are all companies at the
pinnacle of Europe’s aerial production industry and represent great additions to the fast-growing
SHOTOVER customer list.”
