SHOTOVER Camera Systems and Flowcine Launch Tranquilizer AIR – SHOTOVER U1 Edition

AMSTERDAM (September 15, 2018) -- Flowcine, producer of high-quality accessories for professional cinematography,  announced today the launch of the new Tranquilizer Air-SHOTOVER U1 edition. Created in partnership with SHOTOVER, developer of high-performance stabilization platforms and 2018 Scientific and Engineering Academy Award winner, Tranquilizer AIR-SHOTOVER U1 edition is a premium vibration isolator which provides a radical change in performance in conjunction with the SHOTOVER G1 gyro-stabilized gimbal platform. The custom built U1 accessory will be available for purchase directly through SHOTOVER.

Since its launch, the SHOTOVER U1 has set a new standard for drone cinematography and imaging as the first solution to accommodate cinema quality cameras and lenses including the Arri Alexa 65 and LF, RED Helium 8K, and Phantom Flex 4K cameras and the Canon 17-120, Fujinon 85-300, and Optimo 28-76 lenses. Additional system features include redundant flight control and battery systems and unapparelled stability at full zoom.

“SHOTOVER is always striving to push the boundaries of innovation and collaborate with companies who share that vision. Flowcine has been an exceptional partner, and we look forward to seeing the results our clients achieve with the new Tranquilizer AIR.” said SHOTOVER CEO Brad Hurndell.

Robert Eder, U1 customer, and owner of Alpine Aerials added, “The SHOTOVER U1 is a beast that is powerful and precise, yet elegant. Combined with the G1 gimbal, the platform is able to not only lift camera packages from the Alexa Mini to 65 but also stabilize them accordingly. The Tranquilizer AIR in use with the U1 and G1 components made it possible to quickly adjust for the different payloads requested by the motion picture and television industries. The improvement we have seen with the Tranquilizer AIR is immense, and I highly appreciate Flowcine´s work on this vital component.”

SHOTOVER has made serval enhancements to the U1 multirotor since its launch including the use of new propellers and motor mounts improving flight capabilities, new landing gear for additional ground clearance, and the adoption of a new flight controller for optimal system performance.

“We are thrilled that SHOTOVER showed interest in the Tranquilizer AIR design and with the help of their excellent engineers, we have created a version of the product that works perfectly with the SHOTOVER U1 drone,” said Flowcine Product Manager Peter Karlsson.
