ProdCo to Debut F1 for Aerial Shots During the Broadcast of the Lehigh vs. Lafayette Football Game Airing November 22 on CBS Sports Network

LOS ANGELES (November 18, 2014) – SHOTOVER, the maker of high performance stabilization platforms for the motion picture and broadcast industries, announced today the sale of two SHOTOVER F1 aerial camera systems to aerial production and photography company NYonAir.  Serving the needs of a diverse client base, NYonAir will use the new camera systems for assignments including aerial cinematography, event coverage, commercial film production, location scouting and real estate marketing.  This Saturday, the company will be providing aerial shots from the F1 during the broadcast of the Lehigh vs. Lafayette football game airing on the CBS Sports Network.

SHOTOVER continues to gain rapid adoption of the F1 system, which offers unprecedented aerial capabilities in a package light enough to be transported by a single person as checked baggage. The F1’s 6-axis gyro stabilization and modular design provides industry-leading versatility, accommodating cameras such as the Red Epic and Dragon, Arri Alexa M, Canon C500, Sony HDC 2500, and Sony F55 along with a broad range of popular lenses. These include the new Angenieux 25-250 and the IBE adapter and Fujinon 42x9.7 lens. SHOTOVER continues to add support for new cameras and lenses as they become available, enabling F1 owners to easily upgrade their systems to take advantage of the latest technologies.

“We had the opportunity to put the F1 through its paces during a SHOTOVER demo on the East Coast and were blown away by its intuitive control, ease of use and image quality,” said NYonAir CEO Patrick Day.  “The F1 is also the only system out there with a look-down capability, which provides great views of buildings and properties for our real estate clients.”

Designed for high-performance aerial cinematography, the SHOTOVER F1 meets the needs of demanding shooters, delivering motion picture quality images in a flexible, fast-rigging package.  The F1’s modular design makes it fully upgradeable, allowing operators to utilize new professional cameras, lenses and accessories as they come to market.  In addition to aircraft, the F1 can easily be mounted on ground vehicles and watercraft, delivering unshakeable stability during high speed shooting.

“NYonAir is one of the premiere aerial production companies in the biggest media market in the world and we are extremely pleased they have chosen SHOTOVER for their aerial shooting needs,” said SHOTOVER CEO Alan Purwin.  “The F1 hits a sweet spot for aerial cinematographers looking for world-beating performance in a compact, intuitive and easy-to-upgrade package and we’re finding high demand for it both in the US and in foreign markets.”
